Other coatings are water-resistant. This means that water will not damage them directly. However, as these coatings absorb water they run the risk of cracking at any moment when temperatures fall below freezing. On top of this since they absorb a portion of any liquid left on them you run the risk of having an ugly stain on your coating.
Our polyurea coatings are watertight, not water-resistant. Watertight means that water will not be able to impact the surface in any way. Unlike epoxy coatings that can absorb a portion of the liquid, our polyurea coating will just let the water sit on top of them with no effect.
This means that during a winter storm, the snow or sleet will just sit on top of the coating instead of being absorbed into your concrete. Since no water was capable of penetrating our polyurea coating if it freezes then it won’t hurt the coating or your concrete in any way!
